Breckenridge, Day 3

This day was an easy breezy vacation day. We all took a little journey on an easy trail through a beautiful forest. It was cool and damp and smelled of pine and dirt.
We were worried about the little ones and awaited complaints of all variety but they loved it. They circled through the trees, Morgan mostly in front the whole time leading the way. It was so exciting to see since now we're not so timid to take them hiking around here. Maybe these prissy little lady can get a little dirty.

Reagan was enthralled with the pine needles that fell on the ground. She called them "Noodles."
The girls did some shopping and went for a swim while Jon and my Dad went off on an adventure of their own to explore some old mining country. There is something about standing at this high of an elevation that is amazing. The sky is bluer, the clouds are close, and everything is so naive and untouched and majestic.

The highlight of the man trip was this lovely mountain goat that was taking his daily stroll right down the middle of the road. He was not a timid creature and they were able to get dangerously close. They backed off when he became a little agitated.

It was a such a big day and everyone was tuckered out. I love this picture...
