Here are some pics from our latest happenings.

Morgan took these pictures as Jon and I battled against each other in Mario Cart. Jon is the reigning champion, of course. I must fit in the category of "horrible woman drivers," smacking into walls and falling off cliffs. I would get so frustrated after two games that I would toss the steering wheel aside and dig into the hot
tamales and popcorn. I enjoyed the game much more as a spectator.

Speaking of popcorn... if there is a popcorn bowl within range of my girls, it will be full of little fingers feverishly grabbing as many
kernels as they possibly can. It kind of reminds me of when there is a bowl of cookie dough within range of Jon. :) Love you, Babe!

I am safe to say that this is what our little "
Roo Bear" looks like after every meal.

Jon and I like to dress up to go skiing. Jon always wears the same outfit, his flowered swim trunks. I don't know why. But, it's cute. I should have dressed in pads from head to toe since I spent the majority of time bumping down the mountain on my face or my butt, or side or head or whatever the case may be. There is something very ungraceful about my
skis and poles beating me down the mountain.

Um, do I look like I am steady on those
skis. Nope. It was my second time on the slopes, give me a break. Actually, Jon decided not to give me a break. As people were zipping by me like a chess nerd on a football field, I noticed a big sign that read, "Double black diamonds. Enter at your own risk." What!?! "It's the only way down, Babe." Jon said with a big smile. Yeah right. Easy for the son of a
ski patrolman to say who still wore diapers on his first run down the hill. Way to make my first experience with skiing an enjoyable one. I was so angry and scared that I could feel my hot tears pour down my ice cold face.

But, I made it. I slid down the entire slope on my butt, literally. It's amazing what you will do when you are terrified. I didn't feel a bit bad or stupid or foolish as these five year
olds zoomed by me. Not in the least.

It was about this time that I was done. My thighs were on fire, my butt was black and blue, and my face was chapped from skidding on the snow so many times.

Let's go home. Does anyone have a
Tylenol? A
loratab? Some morphine? OUCH!
I do have to note that I went a week later and actually enjoyed myself. Jon wised up and took me down the green slopes. Ahhh. I can do this. Skiing is actually fun when your skis aren't twisted in a pretzel.

We also have enjoyed some time up at
Scofield. Jon's parents have a cabin up there that is the best escape ever. We stoked up the wood burning stove, put a movie on for the kids and made tacos. My favorite was curling up with some writing in front of the furnace as the snow blew outside.

The most fun that we have had this winter was spending chilly time in the snow with our little
snow-bunnies. Jon would pull them in the sled and send them down baby hills.

Then the
McGarry girls made
their first snowman. How cute is he. He truly has coal for eyes and a baby carrot for a nose.
