Jon and I were able to visit the lavishly beautiful big Island of Hawaii for a week. The Hilton Waikoloa Village hosted us well, spoiling every one of our senses with the beautiful scenery. There's nothing like breathing coconut air and bathing in the Hawaiian sun in the middle of January.
View from our room.
The "Hawaiian" thing to do was to write love notes atop the sharp lava rock in the stark white coral.
The majority of my leisure moments were spent applying some well received advice... "use this time to connect y0ur body, spirit and mind." A dear friend of mine gave me a book on motherhood. The profound message that I was supposed to receive would have faded in the requests of little ones and the demands of the home if I hadn't a quiet and uplifting space to truly reflect on the profound essays. I was truly productive in my unproductiveness. :)Among our other unique visits, we found the giant turtles sunning themselves on the black sandy (and blistering hot) beach fascinating.
