Day 5 took us to beautiful Antigua. The architecture there was stunning; the colors at all of the islands were so vibrant and inviting and uplifting. No wonder the locals are so laid back!
As we exited the boat we were greeted with the jiving sounds of the Caribbean beat the locals graciously provided, and we couldn't help but move and groove into the excursion line.
After piling onto a boat, all of us anticipated our introduction to the sting rays. Hmmm. Too many horror stories of people vs sting rays where the people lose. What was this day to bring? A barb or two in our thigh? A hand sucked up with their powerful hoover mouths?
After getting used to the slimy creatures swimming unexpectedly into your leg, they actually became quite cute. If you were super relaxed when you held them, they would fall asleep right there in your arms. Since I missed holding my babies immensely, I felt a little need met there in the middle of the ocean.
The craziest thing I have ever experienced was being handed a whole squid, dead eyes still holding an intense glare at me, and having it sucked out of my hand with such power I felt like the sting ray had beamed it into his mouth. Weird!!!

I love that last picture of the sunset. And I love what you said in your very first blurb about color and how inviting and warm it is. There is something so beautiful about culture and distinctness.
