Surprised to see I've updated?

So, I realize that I've really slacked on the blogging lately. I apologize to those who have faithfully checked for an update for the past two months only to be disappointed. My excuse? I've had a tremendous case of the nesting syndrome!

During this "quiet time," I have managed to become an organization-diva. My biggest project came on when both Jon and I gathered all of our childhood boxes from our parents' house and stacked them in the spare bedroom to await the dig-through. (When I say that the stacks stood ceiling high I am not exaggerating.) All the sifting, sorting, trashing and re-boxing that was involved classified this as a gigantic task to tackle and was so consuming to me that I often dreamed that I was literally drowning in boxes. But, on the other hand, it was very rewarding. Not only did I have the satisfaction of accomplishing such an organizational feat, I was able to let go of a lot of "skeletons" from my past. But the greatest return is that I learned a lot about Jon that I otherwise would never have known.

This nesting syndrome also motivated me to organize and paint the garage as a surprise for Jon while he was away on business. Whew! What a chore! Needless to say, I am very proud of this space now. There are stickers on every box noting the contents and everything has a "home." It is so refreshing to have the boxes where they belong and more space in my house for living.

Anyway, I felt a little guilty for not posting for so long since we had some nice experiences so I decided to share some pics from the last little bit in a quick "catch up" series. I started most recent to not-so-recent.

Yesterday, Jon took the day off to be with the family since he's been out of town for the last 10 days. We decided to take Morgan to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point since our November days feel like May.

Morgan was a trooper and lasted one little lap but then she was finished.

Morgan found Daddy's official Mardi Gras beads that he brought home from his mission. Thank goodness she didn't "earn" all of those!

Here we are at the zoo.

Halloween!
Morgan wasn't happy at first. . . that is until she figured out that all she had to do was hold her
bag out and people would fill it with candy. Note the candy bar held tightly in her little fingers.

Glad to see you've posted again. I am so impressed with your organizational project and getting it all done. You amaze me with your abilities and energy. I am sure it looks wonderful.

And, as always, it's great to see pictures. I can't believe how big that little gal is getting. What's crazy is how big she's going to see in just a couple months when you have a tiny one next to her.

I have been waiting for a new post from you for awhile. I'm one who has stopped by to see if you have posted. I have to tell you I'm so happy for you and Jon what a cute family you have. I think back to when Jon got home from his mission and we were all hanging out...single. I'm sure glad you two found each other:)
